The Nublo Rural Park is the second of the two rural parks in Gran Canaria, but, at least by its dimensions, Nublo manages to overshadow the north Doramas. Thus, the Nublo Rural Park fills a surface of more than 26,000 hectares, stretching on or neighboring upon 8 municipalities: Moya, Valleseo, Artenara, Tejeda, Mogan, San Nicolas, San Mateo, and San Bartolome. In fact, Nublo is the largest protected area in Gran Canaria, exceeding in size both the Tamadaba Nature Park and the Pilancones Nature Park. Of the richness characteristic of the park, the pine forests and the erosion caldera in Tejeda are the most notable highlights.
